GCF Scholarship Funds
Since 1979, GCF has been awarding scholarships for theological training at both local and overseas colleges and universities. This is part of GCF’s efforts in promoting and assisting GCF members who desire to pursue higher theological education in the course of God’s calling and their ministry work.
To-date, GCF has disbursed a total of S$ 158,300.00 in helping God’s people to fulfill their desire for His work and passion for His work. Many are still faithfully serving the Lord today.

GCF Theological Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund is funded by contributions from the GCFers and friends.
This scholarship is open to GCFer who is pursuing or intending to purse theological, biblical or religious studies at post-graduate level (ie. Masters and above). The award is worth S$ 5,000 per annum for a period up to three years and it is granted based on merit with consideration given to the applicant’s financial needs and support.
Upon completion of his/her studies, the candidate is expected to write a monograph for GCF as to the implication and impact of his/her studies upon graduate’s ministry, workplace/professional theology, faith and work issues or faith and culture issues, to serve a Singapore-based Christian organization for at least FIVE years. He/She maybe invited to participate in a public forum or lecture (organised by GCF) to share his research and findings. He/she must be willing to contribute to GCF or FES ministry when being called upon.
The applicant must be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident and he/she must agree with and endorse the doctrinal basis of the GCF and be in good standing with his/her church.
The closing date for application submission is on 1 June of each year and the announcement of the award will be made by the GCF-Theological Scholarship Committee before 31 August.
GCF Comparative Religions Theological Fund
This scholarship fund is funded by contributions from the GCFers and friends.
This scholarship is open to GCFer who is undertaking or intending to undertake research work on comparative religious studies at doctorate level offered by university in the United States or United Kingdom. The award comprised of S$ 80,000 financial grant and S$ 20,000 interest-free loan repayable over a period of 10 years.
Upon completion, he/she has to serve as the advisor to GCF-CRIG and a theological institution (s) / church (es) for at least 20 years.
The candidate must be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident with excellent academic record and has a deep passion for comparative religions ministry work. He/she must agree with and endorse the doctrinal basis of the GCF and be in good standing with his/her church.
There is no closing date for this scholarship. The GCF-CRIG Scholarship Panel will process the applications, interview the applicants and announce the results.
GCF-Winston Yap Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund is established in memory of the late Mr Winston Yap. It is funded by donations from Mrs Lily Yap.
This an interest-free study loan open to GCFer who is pursuing or intending to pursue theological, biblical or religious studies at post-graduate level (ie. Masters and above). The loan quantum and repayment terms shall be determined based on the financial needs and circumstances of the applicant.
Upon completion of his/her studies, the candidate is expected to serve a Singapore-based Christian organization and he/she must be willing to contribute to GCF or FES ministry when being called upon.
The applicant must be a Singapore citizen or permanent resident and he/she must agree with and endorse the doctrinal basis of the GCF and be in good standing with his/her church.
